A movie four times this size was used when a version of this mock-up was projected in the exhibition at the Context Gallery. The projection filled the whole wall of the gallery dwarfing the visitors and giving them the experience of being immersed in animated paint

Old Boy

Mock-up to give an idea of what a picture painted with animatedPaint might look like. This was made with non-dedicated technology: Macromind Director, Photoshop and Quicktime's movie editing facilities.

In this picture I tried to increase the number of brushstrokes and make them smaller than in PearCity. Of all the problems encountred in creating this picture the greatest was the inordinate length of time required to create each stroke. That's why some of the strokes have not been animated - I ran out of time.
